Overspanningsbeveiliging voor netwerktechnologie en serverruimtes
Overspanningsbeveiligingen in de elektronica-industrie maken gebruik van verschillende technologieën om gevoelige componenten te beschermen tegen plotselinge spanningspieken. Een veelgebruikte oplossing zijn TVS-dioden (Transient Voltage Suppression), die onmiddellijk reageren op overspanningen en de overtollige energie afvoeren. Deze diodes kunnen de spanning snel terugbrengen tot een veilig niveau en zo de elektronica beschermen tegen schade.
Een andere technologie zijn metaaloxide varistoren (MOV's), die ook dienen om spanningspieken te absorberen en de beschermende componenten te ontlasten. Daarnaast bieden TISP® thyristorbeveiligingen en gasontladingsbuizen (GDT) een effectieve manier om hoge overspanningen te absorberen. Deze oplossingen worden vooral gebruikt in industriële toepassingen en in netwerktechnologieën waar een hoge betrouwbaarheid vereist is.

Oplossingen voor overspanningsbeveiliging worden op veel gebieden in de elektronica en elektrotechniek gebruikt. Deze beschermingstechnologieën zorgen voor een betrouwbare werking en een lange levensduur van elektronica in een breed scala aan toepassingen.
