PTFE hoses for high-precision media routing and chemical resistance
Currently the largest PTFE hose in stock: inner diameter 20 mm / outer diameter 22 mm and inner diameter 20 mm / outer diameter 24 mm.
PTFE fluoroplastic hoses are thermoplastics, but also have typical thermosetting properties and represent a specialized version in the field of fluoroplastic hoses . PTFE does not become plasticunder heat , does not melt under pressure and flows only slightly.
The unique properties of PTFE with its low coefficient of friction and extremely wide operating temperature range make it ideal for many areas of application, such as microelectronics, analytical technology, process engineering and many more: Microelectronics, analytical technology, process technology, medical devices, industrial high-temperature applications and the food sector. Its chemical resistance and extreme chemical inertness make PTFE the leading solution in the chemical and analytical industry.
PTFE tubing is highly polar, has high lubricity and therefore low flow loss, and has the lowest coefficient of friction of all polymers. The working temperature range of -270 °C to +260 °C enables use under extreme conditions. Hoses made of polytetrafluoroethylene are therefore particularly suitable for high-precision media routing. PTFE is chemically resistant, inert, non-flammable and UV-resistant. The material does not absorb water, has low extractable substances, excellent dielectric insulating properties and biocompatibility (USP class VI) and complies with UL 94 V0. For applications with the highest purity requirements, such as in the semiconductor or pharmaceutical industry,PFA tubing can be used as an alternative . Sterilization is possible using ETO and autoclave.
The PTFE fluoroplastic tubing is also available as heat-shrink tubing and dual wall heat-shrink tubing. PTFE tubing with stainless steel braiding or cross-linked PTFE tubing extends the range of applications. Variants such as PTFE corrugated tubing, PTFE round cord and Teflon by the meter are also available. A polytetrafluoroethylene hose can be specifically adapted to pressure and temperature requirements.
PTFE Sub-Lite-Wall (SLW) is a microminiature extrudate with maximum precision and uniform tolerances over the entire length. These PTFE hoses are ideal for applications with minimal tolerances.
