Our thick-walled heat shrink tubing with internal adhesive is designed for industrial applications where mechanical strength and reliable sealing are required. As dual-wall shrink tubing, it combines a robust outer wall with an internal adhesive layer that closes cavities during shrinkage and enables a permanent cable seal.
Technically relevant for designers is the 4.5:1 shrink tubing ratio, which allows reliable adaptation to different geometries. The materials are halogen-free shrink tubing, self-extinguishing shrink tubing and designed for an application range of -55 to +110 °C. The product is electrically impressive as a shrink sleeve with a dielectric strength of 11 kV/mm.
Typical applications include splice insulation and shrink tubing for outdoor applications with protection against UV, weathering and ozone, for example in mechanical engineering, energy and connection technology.

Thick-walled flexible heat-shrink tubing with heat-activated inner adhesive
The thick-walled heat shrink tubing with internal adhesive is based on radiation cross-linked polyolefin and is designed for demanding electrical applications. As an adhesive-coated heat shrink tubing, it combines high mechanical stability with an internal, heat-activated layer that provides a reliable seal when shrinking. The material made from heat-shrink tubing with thermoplastic offers constant electrical insulation and is suitable for permanent connections.
In practice, heat-shrinkable tubing with hot-melt adhesive is used for insulation, corrosion prevention and moisture-proof encapsulation. Particularly for cable connections, the heat-shrink tubing is self-adhesive as a watertight connection for moisture protection, even under changing environmental conditions.
Compared to medium-wall heat shrink tubing, the thick-walled version provides higher protection reserves. Thick-walled transparent shrink tubing is also available as an option if visual inspection of the connection is required.
